Roles and Responsibilities for the City of Lone Tree

During my first and second terms on Lone Tree’s City Council, and now as Mayor Pro Tem, I have proudly represented the City in the following roles:

Douglas County Housing Partnership – past Chair, Vice Chair and Treasurer

Denver Regional Council of Governments – Board Member, Member of the Executive Committee, Chairman of DRCOG’s Finance and Budget Committee, Chairman of DRCOG’s Performance and Engagement Committee, Member of the Advisory Committee on Aging

Douglas County Sub-Regional Transportation Committee, Chair

Regional Transportation Committee – Board Member

E-470 – Board Member (Lone Tree is a non-voting member on this Board)

CML Policy Committee – past Alternate

During my tenure, the City of Lone Tree has delivered:

DRCOG Metro Vision Award winning Lone Tree Link circulator and On-Demand shuttle service for free transportation within Lone Tree’s city limits, and streamlined transport expands with RTD funding to Meridian in 2024

Lincoln Avenue Pedestrian Bridge – well utilized and safe means to walk, run or cycle across Lincoln Avenue. It’s an architectural award winner, too

Three new RTD Light Rail stations, for a total of five, allowing significant, well-planned growth opportunities around these transit stations

Smart Cities technology, including smart traffic signals is underway. To cover the Yosemite corridor, the City has partnered with Centennial and Greenwood Village with equipment that communicates across borders. Soon, this technology will be extended along RidgeGate Parkway to I-25

Incorporation of CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) standards into planning guidelines to make our City ever safer

Attainable workforce housing for 67 families at the RidgeGate end-of-line station. Courtesy of developer Koelbel and Company, residents have a family transit pass included for their use
